From JAMES LAMB, Esq., Headmaster, Wallacetown Public School, Dundee.

Miss PETRICIA Y. ANDERSON has served as Assistant Teacher in this school since September 1908, and during that time she has had charge of both Junior and Senior Classes.

I have great pleasure in certifying that her work has been in every respect satisfactory to me. She combines great energy and vivacity with earnestness and en- thusiasm. Her class is skilfully managed, and first-rate order is maintained with ease and pleasantness. Her lessons are carefully planned beforehand, and are given with skill and ability rare in a teacher of her age. The results are always highly satisfactory--her pupils being bright, intelligent, and very alert.

During the past year I have entrusted Miss ANDERSON with the responsible duty of supervising the practical training of some of the Training College students who take their teaching in this school. Of the results I cannot speak too highly. She is able to imbue them with her own high ideals of the work, and has turned out some very efficient teachers from rather unpromising material.

Of Miss ANDERSON'S record as a student at Training College and University others will testify, but I must refer to her exceptionally high qualifications in Physical Drill. In the teaching of this subject, too, she has been conspicuously successful. She has also taken a pro- minent part in the teaching of Nature Study, Singing, and Hygiene, the latter subject being taken along with the Scripture lessons of which she has charge.

From personal knowledge I can speak in the highest terms of Miss ANDERSON'S character. She is possessed of charming and lady-like manners, and is altogether a great acquisition to this school.

(Signed) JAS. LAMB.
